  1. Condi Guide for Triple Trouble by Tany (Tanylyla.6397) This guide is for everyone who wants to learn more about condi’s at Triple Trouble (Wurm event). If you have any questions regarding the information in here contact any commander or condi. Have fun! I. General Info What are Condi’s? Condi’s are players with condition damage gear, traits and skills who fulfil one of the special roles needed at the Triple Trouble event - besides the diboof’s (blockers). Condi’s deal with the husks which the wurm can spit every 80 to 90 sec. Their task is to keep the husks away from the zerg. Good control over these mobs is needed as husks can knock people out of the zerg, especially on amber this can endanger the event if they run into the stack of players waiting to be eaten. Or they can interrupt players placing kegs at cobalt as well as knocking players out of the wurm during a burn phase. For this task condi’s want to kill the husks as fast as possible, but also make use of cc (crowd control) abilities to stun the husks to stop them from running around. It is not possible to knock back, push or pull husks anymore, instead you will damage the break-bar and the husk will be stunned for a few seconds when the bar is broken. Condi’s do not follow the commander. They wait near the husk landing spots and only join for the burn phase if all husks are dead. Husk spots on amber: 1st husk -> purple circle marker (between the road and the mushrooms behind the road) 2nd husk -> red heart marker (between the box, tuft of grass and mushrooms) 3rd husk -> blue square marker (in the middle of 4 tufts of grass) wurm position on the orange commander tag Husk spots on crimson: 1st husk -> purple circle marker (below the blue extractor) 2nd husk -> red heart marker (between blue and red extractor, in front of some stones) 3rd husk -> blue square marker (below the red extractor) wurm position on the orange commander tag Husk spots on cobalt: 1st husk -> purple circle marker (on the dark ground) 2nd husk -> red heart marker (on the half circle formed by the water) 3rd husk -> blue square marker (between the tree and nutrients that spawn when the event is up) wurm position on the orange commander tag Why condition damage? Husks have very high toughness, making characters with power-based builds only deal low damage on them. However, conditions ignore toughness. This is why condi’s are way more effective against husks. Gear: There is more than just one right gear set up. You want to have as much condition damage as possible (so choose condition damage as main stat). For example: exotic rabidgear (condi - prec - toughness) is easy to get for dungeon tokens. Having different pieces with different stats works as well. Other possible stat combinations are e.g. sinister, carrion or dire. If you already have a character with viper gear (condi dmg, power, prec, condi duration) for raids or fractals you can take this gear for a wurm condi as well - no need to make an extra set if you have a condi set already. But usually the fight against a husk only takes a few seconds - not enough to make condition duration effective, instead you want to have burst condition damage. Husk-Blocking: It is possible that husks are blocked by the diboofs. However, we (the GW2community) agreed on only blocking husks if it is really needed for the event to succeed. That might be the case if we would not have enough people doing the event mechanic to make the wurm vulnerable or blocking the 1st husk spit on amber. In other situations husks should not be blocked as long as we have a condi team to deal with them. To avoid misunderstandings and unnecessarily blocked husks, tell your commander and the blockers that you want to condi. This can be done in squad chat before the event starts. Also, while we are stacking up on the commander tags to sort numbers at the Firthside Vigil WP, condi’s stack on the hills to the sides of the main stacks. When joining the squads, you can move yourself into the 3rd sub-group (click on your name in the squad and drag yourself there), commander and blockers are usually in the 2nd sub-group. Husk skills: Of course husks will fight back, their attacks are the following: Hand Slap as auto attack; Stomp and Punch which will launch and knock back; Throw Parasites - husk lifts his arm up to his head and throws the parasites like a baseball at the player, dodge this as parasites will stun you every few seconds; Lunge - husk leaps onto the player and will spawn binding roots that will immobilize you. II. Classes and builds Below you can find some (wurm-)condi builds for different classes. Please keep in mind that these builds are only suggestions and can change with updates, making skills, traits or even entire classes more or less useful as wurm condi’s. In general, any condi builds can be used, however, you may want to change skills to get more CC. *work in progress* If you have experience as wurm condi and want to add information or want to help to complete this section by adding missing classes, message me (Tany)! Berserker (Warrior) - Build by Lacsap Strong CC and great condi damage. Weapons: sword + torch, longbow Traits: Tactics: 3 2 1 | Empowered [&B78FAAA=], Burning Arrows [&B8cFAAA=], Powerful Synergy [&B4MGAAA=]. Arms: 1 3 2 | Wounding Precision [&B68FAAA=], Blademaster [&BzUFAAA=], Furious [&B0IFAAA=]. Berserker: 2 2 2 | Last Blaze [&B/cHAAA=], Heat the Soul [&B/oHAAA=], King of Fires [&B/YHAAA=]. Skills: Heal: Blood Reckoning [&Bu11AAA=]. Utility: Wild Blow [&BvV0AAA=], Shattering Blow [&Bnp1AAA=], Outrage [&BjJ2AAA=]. Elite: Head butt [&Bod2AAA=]. Rotation: Flames of War [&BvR0AAA=], Savage leap [&Bh44AAA=], Outrage [&BjJ2AAA=], Blaze Breaker [&BpV0AAA=], Wild Blow [&BvV0AAA=], Shattering Blow [&Bnp1AAA=], Head butt [&Bod2AAA=], Berserk [&BuN2AAA=], Flaming Flurry [&Btp3AAA=]. Weapon Swap Fan of Fire [&Brc4AAA=], Scorced Earth [&BuN0AAA=], Blood Reckoning [&Bu11AAA=], Scorced Earth [&BuN0AAA=], Pin Down [&Bqg4AAA=], Outrage [&BjJ2AAA=], Fan of Fire [&Brc4AAA=], should be already dead by now. Autoattack during cooldowns. Reaper (Necro) - Build by Nora Strong CC and good condi damage. Weapons: staff, scepter + dagger (more condis and condi transfer) or warhorn (extra cc, should not be needed with this build) Traits: Spite: 3 2 1 | Bitter Chill [&B0cHAAA=], Awaken the Pain [&Bz0DAAA=], Signets of Suffering [&B5cDAAA=] Curses: 2 1 3 | Plague Sending [&B90HAAA=], Master of Corruption [&BzADAAA=], Lingering Curse [&ByEDAAA=] Reaper: 2 3 2 | Chilling Nova [&B+QHAAA=], Decimate Defenses [&B+8HAAA=], Deathly Chill [&B38HAAA=] Skills: Heal: Summon Blood Fiend [&BjMpAAA=] Utility: Spectral Grasp [&BnwpAAA=], Blood Is Power [&BjApAAA=], Signet of Spite [&Bn4pAAA=] Elite: Chilled to the Bone [&Bpl1AAA=] Rotation: Always start with staff! If you find your arena being clear, you can precast marks (skill 2, 3, 5) on your husk landing spot, but be aware of small animals triggering your marks. If there's wildlife running around, just place your marks when your husk is landing. This should already remove a good amount of the break-bar. Next up comes Spectral Grasp and Chilled to the Bone – not necessarily in that order. You can either use Blood is Power now and transfer the self inflicted bleeding onto the husk now or after the following section: The last bit of break will be removed by entering Reaper Shroud and either double clicking skill 3 or using skill 5 right away which usually is enough. Immediately use skill 4 after skill 5 and spin to win in your ice field – preferably INSIDE the husk's hitbox to land all the projectiles from whirl finisher - for massive amounts of bleeds caused by „Deathly Chill“ in your Reaper trait line. This is the core rotation; if you can manage to land this, your husk is basically doomed to die already. Now you can use your scepter and remaining utility skills off cooldown.
  2. Diboof Guide for Triple Trouble (Eggblocking) by Tany (Tanylyla.6397) This guide will introduce you to the basics of diboofing. It is meant to help you with deciding for a class as well as taking your first steps to becoming a blocker. However, you will still need practice ingame and i recommend talking to an experienced diboof in addition. If you have any questions regarding the information written in here, contact any commander or diboofer. Have fun! Just want to refresh your knowledge? see below for the summary! What is diboofing? The term diboofing is used for egg-blocking within the community. It is one of the most important tasks at the Triple Trouble event. The diboof usually stays inside the wurm, using projectile-destroy, reflection or invulnerability skills to prevent the wurm from spitting out eggs and sometimes AoE’s or even husks if needed (-> if we do not have condi players to deal with the husks). This is necessary to keep the event area clear from eggs and larva which spawn if any eggs hatch. General Info The wurm can spit eggs every 40s, husks every 90s (80-85s on cobalt). These timers do NOT reset with burn phases. You need at least 4 seconds of reflect/ invulnerability to block a full spit of eggs/husks. You can use a single blocking skill or chain 2 skills in order to reach the full duration. Crimson and Cobalt usually do a wide spin after each burn phase while amber can spit again immediately. Crimson can still do attacks after you see the message that the wurm is vulnerable. Eggs can be blocked with projectile destroy / reflection / block or invulnerability skills. Husks and AoEs can only be blocked with invulnerability skills. All of these skills must be used/ placed on the “invul spot”, right in the middle of the wurm. You know that you are standing on the right spot when you see “invulnerable” written on your screen when you block eggs, husks or AoE with invulnerability skills. Auto-attacking the wurm will show “0” on the spot. invul spot amber invul spot crimson invul spot cobalt "Invulnerable" text when blocking with invulnerability skills Terms (used when counting blockers before the run): d - cannot block all eggs on their own; diboof in training - needs another experienced diboof to block with dd - can confidently solo block all eggs during the entire event [dd+ - (term used by WUMS to distinguish dd+ from ddd) can confidently solo block all eggs AND at least 1 husk (can be done by guardians and scrappers)] ddd - can confidently solo block all eggs AND all 3 husks = fullblock (can be done by mesmers and elementalists) Gear: For diboofs it does not matter how much damage they will deal, but that they can stay alive even if they have aggro from some veteran wurms or in case they miss a dodge. Therefore you want to take tanky gear. For example, PVT (power-vitality-toughness) for dungeon tokens or WvW armor can be used. Although, you can block with any gear set up as long as you survive. Wurm Animations/ Attacks: wide spin: large AoE around the wurm --> knockback and damage --> must be dodged or evaded with for example invulnerability, blocks, stability (care, you still take damage!), aegis, .. small spin + AoE spit: small AoE around the wurm that is always followed by the AoE spits, which are targeted on players --> must be dodged or blocked with invulnerability, AoE’s deal a lot of damage! egg spit and husk spit: both animations look the same, you only know what the wurm spits once you a ) see eggs or husks flying or b ) when you block them successfully (blocking with invul skills will show you “invulnerable” written ingame - once for each husk or 3 times for each part of an egg spit) or c ) if the wurm spat eggs or husks just before so that one is still on cooldown. Each full spit can be divided into three part spits of one husk each or 3 - 3 - 4 eggs. Calls, Coordination with other blockers Being able to talk on TS can be helpful, but it is not required. If you have any issues during the run like veteran wurms annoying you, lag spikes or you have missed some eggs or husks, you can tell your commander via group chat or TS. Furthermore, you can use party chat to communicate with other diboofs. When going for fullblock you want to tell each other if you have blocked eggs or husks, as only one player can see the “invulnerable” text. You can type “e” or “h” for that. Also, it can be helpful to write down the time when the wurm spat out husks for the last time to keep track of the timer (e.g. 8:20 h). Stay on the tag? not for diboofs! As a blocker you have a special spot in the event, in the literal and figurative sense. Not only during the event you have your own spot to stand, but also while dividing into groups for the different wurm heads you stack on the sides. For amber and cobalt that is between the main stack and the water, for crimson towards the right side of the main stack (looking from Firthside Vigil WP). While the escorts are running you usually take care of the NPC and defend him against mobs on the way. First steps .. Learning takes time. You will not become a solo-blocker (that means you can block all eggs on your own without needing help from another diboof) overnight. Once you have prepared yourself with gear, build and skills for diboofing and you are joining the wurm run, focus on recognizing animations and dodging spins first. After that continue with using the right skills to block eggs at the right time, then blocking AoE or husks (only if needed). Please, keep in mind that we only want to block husks if we do not have a condi team to deal with them. Some classes are more suitable for diboofing than others, depending on what skills (and traits) they can possibly use for blocking and defense as in stability or stun-breaks. Also, not all classes have the same blocking capabilities. While some can only block eggs, others can block up to 2, others all 3 husks. See below to find guides for your class. Class - Guides: For most classes I recommended using the traits and skills that are listed, but they are not always necessary. Traits and skills which you need for blocking are marked in red. You may find other possible traits or skills for your way of blocking. In the end it only matters that you can block everything that you are supposed to block - not how! -- note, “rotation” means here: what skills to use when depending on what the wurm is spitting. Chrono (Mesmer / Mirage) - ddd Mesmer offers multiple skills for blocking and is the only class that can block all eggs, husks, AoE’s and wide spins (for yourself). At the same time it is very easy to block only eggs on mesmer, this can even be done from range. With the February 6th patch a-net has changed the way phantasms work (they will only do their specific attack once, then they are destroyed and a clone spawns). Also phantasms do no longer add up to the illusion count and the Chronophantasma trait changed. Example: (core-) Mesmer Diboof; Chrono Diboof (fullblock) (pre patch!) Weapons: sword main hand, focus and shield off hand (or e.g. sword off hand if you do not have chrono) Traits: Inspiration 1 1(needed to block with focus 4) 2 Domination 2 2(gain distortion when activating a signet) 2 Chronomancer 3 2 2 (or Illusions 311 or Mirage 222) Skills: Heal: Signet of the Ether (or Well of Eternity) | Utility: Signet of Midnight, Feedback, Signet of Illusions | Elite: Timewarp Skill usage: sword 2 --> evade spins, but not for blocking eggs/ husks/ AoE sword 3 --> spawns a clone, instant sword 4 --> blocks 1 attack (spin) and creates an illusion on block, you will be ported a bit so you need to reposition yourself! sword 5 --> spawns an illusion focus 4 --> blocks eggs (requires Warden’s Feedback trait, Inspiration 2nd, to be equipped), place on the invul spot --> stand on the spot and double-click on the skill to place it on yourself focus 5 --> spawns a phantasm (not for blocking itself) shield 4 --> can block spins and 1 part spit of 3 eggs (backup block), also spawns a phantasm; if you block an attack with it, you can use the skill again shield 5 --> alacrity heal - signet --> 1sec distortion (invul) - can be used to block AoE when Signet of Midnight is on cooldown, 1sec cast delay; also refreshes the cooldowns of your phantasms Signet of Midnight --> 1 sec distortion (invul) - blocks AoE / husks + stun-break, instant cast Feedback --> 6sec reflect - main skill for blocking eggs, can even be used while stunned and from range Signet of Illusions --> refreshes the cooldown of F4 distortion, spawns a clone every 10sec Timewarp --> quickness during burn phase F4 distortion --> up to 4sec invulnerability (1sec + 1sec for each illusion shattered) for husk or egg blocking, must be timed well to block a full spit (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) Mimic --> alternative to double feedback (use before using 1st feedback) for blocking eggs only Rotation: fullblock - spawn 3 illusions: target the wurm and use shield 4 to block the 1st wide spin and use it again, focus 5, sword 3 - when the wurm is spitting for the 1st time (or later when it can spit both husks or eggs timer-wise) use Signet of Midnight to block the first part spit --> seeing 1x “invulnerable” means you have blocked a husk, 1x 3 “invulnerable” means you have blocked eggs - if its eggs, use Feedback or if its husks use F4 distortion right away to block the full spit -- if the 1st spit was husks, use Feedback on the 2nd spit -- or if the 1st spit was eggs, use F4 distortion for the 2nd spit. Make sure to respawn 3 Illusions until the wurm can spit husks again - while husks are on cool down (80-90sec) you can use Feedback for the next egg spit that will most likely happen before the wurm can spit husks again - as long as you will not need your Signet of Midnight within the next 24sec you can use it to block AoE spits. If Signet of Midnight is on cooldown or you might need it soon, you can use Signet of the Ether (heal) to block AoE spits (note: you can use Signet of the Ether at the start to check if the wurm is spitting eggs or husks and always use Signet of Midnight for AoEs. I do not recommend this way as the Signet of the Ether has a cast delay. That means: if you do not manage to time it correctly, you will get eggs or husks.) blocking eggs only (also for blocking eggs + 1 or 2 husks) - for blocking eggs only you start with using reflect on the first spit (Feedback or focus 4) so you will block eggs, but no husks --> if you see husks flying you will have to use another reflect (Feedback or focus 4) or even distortion on the next spit to block the eggs --> if you do not see anything flying, you have blocked eggs, in that case you can wait for the next egg spit in about 40sec (if there is another blocker inside the wurm with you, there is a chance that he/ she has blocked husks by mistake, you will not be able to see a difference) - if you want to block 1 or 2 husks, you can activate F4 distortion when the wurm is about to spit the 2nd or 3rd husk. You want to have at least 2 illusions up to block 2 husks Chrono fullblock: Double Distortion Variant This variant is similar to the pre patch way to fullblock with the chrono phantasma trait. You do not have to check what the wurm is spitting by using a signet first. Example: Chrono fullblock torch (after patch) Weapons: sword main hand, torch and shield off hand Traits: Illusions 3 1(stealth spawns a clone) 1 Domination 2 2(gain distortion when activating a signet) 2 Chronomancer 3 2 2 Skill usage: sword 2 --> evade spins, but not for blocking eggs/ husks/ AoE sword 3 --> spawns a clone, instant shield 4 --> can block spins and 1 part spit of 3 eggs (backup block), also spawns a phantasm; if you block an attack with it, you can use the skill again torch 4 --> stealth, spawns a clone, instant torch 5 --> spawns a phantasm shield 5 --> alacrity heal - signet --> 1sec distortion (invul) - can be used to block AoE when Signet of Midnight is on cooldown, 1sec cast delay; also refreshes the cooldowns of your phantasms Signet of Midnight --> 1 sec distortion - blocks AoE + stun-break, instant cast Feedback --> 6sec reflect - main skill for blocking eggs, can even be used while stunned and from range Signet of Illusions --> refreshes the cooldown of F4 distortion, spawns a clone every 10sec Timewarp --> quickness during burn phase F4 distortion --> up to 4sec invulnerability (1sec + 1sec for each clone shattered) for husk or egg blocking, must be timed well to block a full spit (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) Rotation: fullblock - spawn 3 illusions: target the wurm and use shield 4 to block the 1st wide spin and use it again, torch 5, sword 3 - when the wurm is spitting for the 1st time (or later when it can spit both husks or eggs timer-wise) use your F4 distortion --> seeing 3x 1 “invulnerable” means you have blocked husks, 3x 3 “invulnerable” means you have eggs -- if the 1st spit was husks, use Feedback on the 2nd spit -- or if the 1st spit was eggs, use Signet of Illusions right after and you can use F4 distortion again for the 2nd spit which will be husks. You have to get 3 new illusions quickly to get the full 4sec block duration of F4 distortion. 1 will spawn due to the Illusionary Reversion Trait; 1 you get by using sword 3, the last 1 you get by using torch 4. Make sure to respawn 3 illusions until the wurm can spit husks again - while husks are on cool down (80-90sec) you can use Feedback for the next egg spit that will most likely happen before the wurm can spit husks again Elementalist (Tempest) - ddd Blocking on Elementalist/ Tempest is not the easiest, as you will have to combine skills for 1spit in order to be able to (full)block. It is possible to block all eggs and all husks on Ele. Example: Tempest Diboof (fullblock) Weapons: (dagger) + focus Traits: Earth 1 3 1 Air 3 2 2 (Fresh Air: you can swap back to air after a critical hit) Tempest 1(Gale Song: auto-stun-break) 3 (Stability on Overload) 3 - if you do not have Tempest unlocked, you can take any other traitline, also depending on if you want to be a bit more offensive or defensive none is necessarily needed Skills: Heal: whatever you like, e.g. Glyph | Conjure Earth Shield, Mistform, Armor of Earth, or “Aftershock” (Tempest skill) | Elite: “Rebound” (Tempest) or other Skill usage: air 4 --> 6sec reflect, main block skill for eggs earth 4 --> 3sec reflect (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) earth 5 --> 4sec invulnerability (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) Overloads (F1-4) --> stability with trait and stun-break (Tempest) Conjure earth shield --> skill 5 -> 3sec invulnerability (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) Mistform --> 3sec invulnerability (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) “Aftershock” --> 4sec reflect (you need to stand on the “invul”-spot) Armor of earth --> stability (can be used if you have to be afraid of being knocked out of the wurm by veteran wurms or husks when the wurm is just about to spit) and stun break “Rebound” -> emergency to not go down, not for blocking Rotation: fullblock - You have to combine skills to fullblock. I recommend: when using Earth shield skill 5 use it as the 1st of 2 skills and Mistform as 2nd of 2 skills. - First spit: Start in earth attunement. Precast Conjure earth shield and use skill 5 when the wurm starts spitting (other invulnerability works as well). Seeing 1 time “invulnerable” means you have blocked a husk, 3 “invulnerable” means you have blocked eggs. You can block 1 or 2 part spits this way, for the 3rd one you will have to use another skill: Mistform for husks, earth 4 for eggs - Second spit: for husks (if 1st spit was eggs) you can use earth 5 + Mistform; for eggs (if 1st spit was husks) you can use earth 5 + 4 (earth 5 alone is enough to block 1 full spit, but must be well-timed) OR swap to air and use air 4 to block eggs - The next spit, while husks are still on cooldown (80-90sec) will be eggs and can be blocked with air 4, when the wurm can spit husks and eggs again, swap back to earth and repeat blocking eggs only (also for blocking eggs + 1 or 2 husks) - You want to start with reflect for the first spit to block eggs but not husks. Start with air 4 on the first spit. If you see husks flying you will have to use another block on the next spit to block the eggs. You can use earth 5 (+ 4 for longer duration) or Aftershock to block eggs then. - If you do not see anything flying, you have blocked eggs, in that case you can wait for the next egg spit in about 40sec and use air 4 again (if there is another blocker inside the wurm with you, there is a chance that he/ she has blocked husks by mistake, you will not be able to see a difference) - If you want to block 1 or 2 husks, you can activate Mistform or earth 5 when the wurm is about to spit the 2nd or 3rd husk. - If you do not block husks, you can use Mistform and Earth shield skill 5 to block AoE’s Guardian (Dragonhunter / Firebrand) - dd+ Guardians can block all eggs and up to 2 husks per spit. You gain good defense from traits and can grant yourself a lot of aegis. Example: Guardian eggblocking Weapons: (Scepter/ Sword mainhand) + Shield (+focus offhand) Traits: Virtues 3(-->wall of reflection) 2 3 Valor 2 1 2(--> mediation cooldown - needed for husk blocking on cobalt) Firebrand 3 3 3 (additional reflect) OR Dragonhunter 1 1(auto stun break) 1 -- (use Honor 2 3(or 2) 1(shouts) if you do not have DH or FB) Dragonhunter 1 1(auto stun break) 1 -- (use Honor 2 3(or 2) 1(shouts) if you do not have DH or FB) Skills: Heal: Shelter | Wall of Reflection | “Stand your Ground” | “Retreat” | Elite: Renewed Focus Skill usage: shield 4 --> grants aegis (with aegis you do not have to dodge spins, but you still want to dodge AoE spits, be careful if wurms or other adds are close as they can "steal" your aegis whit attacks) shield 5 --> 4sec reflect shelter --> 2sec block - can be used to block spins instead of dodging, can block 1 part egg spit Wall of reflection --> 10sec reflect (12 with trait), place it on the invul-spot, therefore you can stand on the spot and double-click the skill to place it on yourself. “Stand your ground” --> stability and stun-break “Retreat” --> aegis Renewed focus --> 3sec invulnerability, only invul skill Tome of Courage (FB) --> Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark --> 5 sec reflect on low cool down, 3/4sec cast delay Rotation: egg blocking: - The two skills that you will be using for blocking are Shield 5 and Wall of reflection. Shield 5 must be really well-timed to be able to block all eggs. - On the first spit use Shield 5. If you see husks flying do nothing else. The next spit will be eggs and you can use Wall of reflection to block them. - If you do not see anything flying, you have blocked eggs, you can use Wall of reflection in between the first and second or second and third part spit to ensure that you have enough block duration (if there is another blocker inside the wurm with you, there is a chance that he/ she has blocked husks by mistake, you will not be able to see a difference) - with Firebrand you get another skill that can block an entire spit: Tome of Courage --> Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark , you can use this skill on the first spit and your on the second spit Wall of reflection if needed (or the other way around). As Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark has a cast delay you will have to recognize the spit animation early enough to get your block up in time. husk blocking: - Only your elite Renewed Focus can block husks. Use it after the wurm spat out the first (or second) husk to block 2 or 1 husk(s). This will work out on crimson and amber, on cobalt you must have the Monk’s Focus trait as cobalt can spit husks every ~80 - 85 sec while the skill has a cooldown of normally 90sec. Scrapper (HoT) - dd+ can block all eggs quite easily, and up to 2 husks* (bit harder) Example: Scrapper Diboof Weapons: any (e.g. hammer) Traits: Alchemy 2 2 1 (reduced Elixir recharge and increased duration) Tools 2 1 2 (reduced tool belt skill recharge) Scrapper 3 1 2 Skills: Bulwark Gyro (for toolbelt skill) | Elixir U (for toolbelt skill) | Elixir S Skill usage: Defense Field --> toolbelt skill, 5sec reflect Toss Elixir U --> 12sec reflect or projectile destroy, 14.5 with trait Elixir S --> 3sec Invulnerability for blocking up to 2 husks, 3.75sec with HGH trait for blocking up to 3 husks hammer 2 --> additional short duration reflect (block 1 part spit) hammer 4 --> additional 2sec block Rotation: egg blocking: You have 2 skills (Defense Field and Toss Elixir U) which can block an entire egg spit. Use one of these skills when the wurm does its first spit. If you see husks flying, use the other skill on the 2nd spit. (You might as well put one of the skills on every spit without caring about what the wurm is spitting.) husk blocking: - Only your Elixir S can block husks. Use it after the wurm spat out the first (or second) husk to block 2 or 1 husk(s). With HGH trait you can even block 3husks. However, you cannot reliably fullblock, as you only have 1invul skill. Revenant - dd It is very easy to block eggs on Revenant and you can even block from range. However you do not have any invulnerability skills for blocking husks or AoE’s. Weapons: no weapon required; can use sword / shield(block on skill 5) Traits: no special traits required, you can even take a dps build for burn phases Skills: Legendary Centaur Stance (for blocking), Legendary Dragon Stance (Herald; buffing during burn phase) Blocking: - Place the tablet (heal skill while in Centaur Stance) inside the wurm - You can go out of the wurm and stand just outside of wide-spin-range so you will not have to dodge spins, only AoE’s if they should happen to target you - You can attack the wurm to get into combat, to get more energy - When the wurm spits for the first time, activate the Protective Solace skill (reflecting until you deactivate it by pressing the skill again or you run out of energy) - If the first spit was eggs (you see nothing flying), deactivate the skill and wait for the next egg spit in about 40sec - If the first spit was husks (you see husks flying, unless another diboof would block them), keep up the barrier to block the next eggs and deactivate it afterwards (or deactivate it as soon as you see the first husk, it has a 5sec cooldown which should be enough to activate it again in time for the next spit) Druid (HoT required) - dd can block all eggs, but no husks, provides zerg buffs for the burn phase Example: Druid Diboof Weapons: sword/ axe + staff Traits: Skirmishing 1 1 1 Nature magic 3 1 1 Druid 1 2 1 Skills: Heal: Glyph of Rejuvenation | Glyph of Empowerment | Frost Spirit | Sun Spirit | Elite: Glyph of Unity Skill usage: axe 5 --> 5sec reflect (you need to stand and stay on the “invul”-spot) staff 5 --> 5sec projectile destroy, place it on the invul-spot, therefore you can stand on the spot and double-click the skill to place it on yourself. Glyph of Equality --> optional for stun-break other utility skills and most traits can be used to buff your zerg during the burn phase Rotation: egg blocking: You have 2 skills (axe 5 and staff 5) which can block an entire egg spit. Use one of these skills when the wurm does its first spit. If you see husks flying, use the other skill on the 2nd spit. (You might as well put one of the skills on every spit without caring about what the wurm is spitting.) Warrior (Spellbreaker) - (dd) can block all eggs (dd) in theory, but difficult (too many small duration skills that have to be combined, good positioning needed), can bring banners to buff the zerg during the burn phases; not recommended. Example: Warrior Diboof dd try Weapons: mace/ shield + sword Traits: Tactics 3 1 3 Defense 1 1 1 Spellbreaker 1 1 2 Skills: Heal: any | Endure Pain | Balanced Stance | Dolyak Signet | Elite: Winds of Disenchantment you can bring Banner of Strength and Banner of Discipline to buff your zerg during the burn phases Skill usage: mace 2 --> short duration block for 1 part egg spit shield 5 --> 3sec block for 2 part egg spits sword 5 --> short duration block for 1 part egg spit Endure Pain --> stun break + personal block Balanced Stance --> stability + stun break Dolyak Signet --> activate for stability Winds of Disenchantment --> (spellbreaker skill) 10sec projectile block, 1.5sec cast time Thief - (dd) can block all eggs (dd) in theory, not recommended. Skill usage: Smoke Screen --> 7sec projectile block Dagger Storm --> 4sec reflect Bandit's Defense --> (daredevil skill) 1.5sec block for 1part egg spit, stun break Necro - (d) only has 1 skill (corrosive cloud) for blocking and cannot block alone. Summary This section offers you a summary of the information needed for diboofing. If you are new and want to learn blocking, i recommend looking at the complete guide! diboofing = blocking eggs with projectile-reflect/ -destroy or invulnerability skills and if needed husks and AoE’s with invulnerability ddd = able to block all eggs and husks, dd = able to block eggs (only), d = training to block preparation: get tanky gear and a diboof build + skills + weapons for your class stand right inside of the wurm (“invul-spot”), block skills must be used / placed here timers: eggs 40sec, husks 90sec (80-85sec on cobalt) 4sec of reflect/ invul needed to block a full spit of 3x 1husk or 3-3-4 eggs blocking with invulnerability will show you “invulnerable” for each egg or husk that you have blocked, if there is another diboof with you, tell each other what you have blocked (e / h) animations: wide spin -> dodge or block (stability, aegis, .. ) small spin + AoE spit -> dodge or block with invulnerability spit -> use diboof skills depending on what you want to block: -- fullblock: start with invul on 1st spit -> if eggs use invul for 2nd / -> if husks you can use both invul or reflect for the 2nd spit. next there will usually be another egg spit before the wurm can spit husks agai -- only egg blocking: start with reflect for the 1st spit and only use invul if the wurm cannot spit husks!
